FINAL PIECE - COMP1
LIQUID EMULSION
For my Component 1 final piece, I decided to experiment with liquid emulsion, using pictures of buildings and different perspectives of said buildings. To achieve this, I selected my favourite photos, turned them black and white, inverted and leveled them, then printed them out and used liquid emulsion in the darkroom. The process took time and lots of patience as liquid emulsion is a very light sensitive liquid. I ended up doing a set of large images and a set of images on smaller pieces of paper, highlighting main parks in the large pictures. These will be available to see in my sketchbook.

MANIPULATIONS
When planning my Component 1, I wanted my wall to look "scattered". This plan showed how I was able to plan out my idea before the exhibition so I could calculate how many liquid emulsion prints I needed to do and what sizes. I wanted to experiment with a grey and brown base on the wall to contrast my Component 2, which is black and white. In the plan, I intended to use fabrics, canvases and cardboards to print my liquid emulsion on and to also experiment with. Some of these world and are available to view on my exhibition and my sketchbook.
